The Fire Board conducts business for the Yorktown/Mt. Pleasant Township Fire Department.  The fire department receives funds from Yorktown tax dollars for operations and to supplement the tax dollars it receives from the township.  This board was formed in April 2007 in an effort to keep the fire department operational after Yorktown's annexation efforts were successful.  The board manages the fire budget, processes any claims, and processes requests for additional needs and equipment in an effort to keep this voluntary fire department operational. 

 

This board meets on the third Thursday of every month at 7:30 p.m. at the Mt. Pleasant Township Building located on the corner of Broadway and Arch Street in Yorktown.
