Fire is the 3rd leading cause of death in the home. 

Each week,

11 children,
27 senior citizens
and
2 firefighters

die as a result of fires. It is our mission

to lower these numbers.

 

Just like all of the other aspects of the fire service, Fire Prevention has become much more than it once was.  To begin with, the name has changed from Fire Prevention to Fire and Life Safety Education to reflect a new attitude in our programs.  As the fire service's alarm volume has drifted further away from just fire calls, so have our education programs.
