In late 2013, the Yorktown Town Council partnered with the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns to bring the Indiana Downtown program to Yorktown. On January 14, 2014, Doyle Hyett with Indiana Downtown presented the 5 year action plan to the Yorktown Town Council, Yorktown Chamber of Commerce and Yorktown Citizens in a public meeting. The document, defines a public vision that was shared during various stakeholder and public meetings in October. It then defines actions steps to be taken to make Downtown more vibrant and better utilized.
Attached is the public document that the Town Council will consider adopting in the near future. This document is being made public at the same time to the Council and public for review and consumption.
