As part of the Nebo/River roundabout project, the Town needs to have an agreement with BF&S Engineering for Construction Engineering. Construction Engineering (CE) is different from the actual drawing of the plans as this or these individuals will be the on site supervisors working with the Contractors, Town and INDOT to make sure that the project is built to the drawings and within the appropriate standards as approved by the Federal Highway Administration.
When the Town solicited engineers for the design of the roundabout we also solicited for CE, but we due to timing INDOT does not allow for a CE contract to be signed until closer to the actual bidding and construction. I would recommend that we approve the LPA Consulting Contract.
