Welcome to the Town of Yorktown, Indiana
The Town of Yorktown, Indiana has captured that small town Hoosier charm for which many communities strive. Nestled between Interstate 69 and the City of Muncie on the banks of the White River, the Town of Yorktown is less than an hour away from downtown Indy and the City of Fort Wayne. State Highways 332 and 32 both run through Yorktown.
With a population of almost 10,000, Yorktown has seen constant growth over the last decade and a half with the creation of more than a dozen new residential neighborhoods offering a wide range of housing options in almost every price range.
Yorktown's commitment to quality of life issues is reflected in many ways. The town promotes its highly trained and professional police force, and well maintained infrastructure. It is making significant additional investments in parks and recreation facilities, and has recently completed a $5.5 million, award-winning downtown revitalization. Cooperative efforts and strong relationships are the norm amongst the Town, its Schools, Public Library, Chamber of Commerce, YFD, and other local clubs and organizations.
