The 2023 Town Council of Yorktown began work this past week.
Rick Glaub was elected the Town Council President, and Nanci Sears-Perry is the Council's Vice President. Meetings will begin at 6p moving forward.
The Town Council has announced a new Work Session before their official Council Meetings; it will generally be open to the public except in required scenarios. Topics will be about informing the council members of rules, regulations, and operations of their duties as well as gaining clarity on projects, proposals, and considerations; there will be no space for listening to public comment at the work session.
One exciting move by this new board was to move the space to allow and hear public comment forward into the meeting so that feedback, concerns, and support can be heard prior to discussing and voting on old business. The 2023 Town Council of Yorktown began work this past week.
