Yorktown is the ideal place to find a variety of recreational activities. Yorktown prides itself on its four parks, two golf courses, family atmosphere, public library, historical museum, and top rated school system. The parks cover 120 acres with 2+ miles of walking trails that connect to sidewalks. Morrow's Meadow is on the banks of the gently flowing waterways of the White River and Buck Creek, with a drop off for canoeing. The parks are sites for picnics, sports, festivals, trails, playground equipment, shelters, and YMCA. A pedestrian bridge connects Morrow's Meadow to the newly rebuilt and revitalized downtown.
